Hotel Hanamiya is a six-suite hotel in Kyoto that hasn't opened yet. We're designing and building its website from Malaysia, and posting as we go.
We planned lots of short moments that each work on their own, framed them to fit any screen, and added a couple of long takes that can be reels by themselves. That was our day at Prince Court Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
We’re in the middle of designing two websites for sister brands in finance, where every word needs approval from several levels. With every prototype, we send a short guide, a clear list of what’s done and what needs feedback, and a checklist their team can work through.
Before a hotel opens, it needs one calm page that shows who it is. For Hotel Hanamiya in Kyoto, we put that coming-soon page live first, then designed the full website around it.
We skipped the storyline and filmed a small habit most Malaysians have without noticing: setting out an extra chair. For IHH Healthcare Malaysia’s Hari Raya 2026 film, that one gesture carried the whole message, from family dinners to hospital shifts.
